Executive Officers
These lovely people organize our monthly meetings, events, and community service opportunities. They are who you should email, make friends with, and talk to if you want to be more involved or have any questions. They play a huge part in our year-long projects, and are committed to making sure that SEA makes a lasting impact on our campus each year. They're friendly and helpful, they love the environment, and they love serving and taking action for environmental causes through their leadership of this club.
Bailey Shea
PRESIDENT
Bailey loves dancing, podcasts, coffee, dogs, and plants, although she's allergic to anything with fur and any plant she's ever been tested for. She wishes nature loved her as much as she loves it. Bailey is a junior at UGA, majoring in Economics (AB) with a concentration in Public Policy. Bailey joined SEA in August 2014 and dove right in by becoming probably the most involved Secretary SEA had ever seen. She is very excited to be President for 2015-2016 and looks forward to watching the club grow!
Mahek Virani
EVENTS COORDINATOR
Mahek enjoys creating art, watching action movies, and community service. She jumped into SEA her freshman year by going to a few meetings. By far her favorite community service trip with SEA is the semi-annual river clean up. She also really enjoyed attending the Yoga Under the Stars event held during Earth week. She loves how SEA is all-encompassing and partners with other environmental groups to make the most impact and most friendships possible.
Evan Alden
COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR
Evan is a sophomore at the University of Georgia and is looking for a major (or two) that will help her become the most effective environmentalist possible. She loves being outside, dogs, tea, and running. Evan’s goal for the year is to help SEA grow and help students create a greener life on campus and off!
Fifi Le
TREASURER
Fifi is a junior MIS major at UGA. She enjoys watching rom-coms/comedy shows, drinking tea, and doing yoga. She’s a vegetarian and loves all animals. She loves helping out the environment in any way possible. She is excited to be on the executive board for SEA because she believes that it is one of the best environmental organizations on campus. She looks forward to serving the community and getting to know other students who want to do the same!
Meredith Herbst
SECRETARY
Meredith is a second year at UGA studying Agricultural Communication. She thinks nature is really neat, and she like trees. She's also really into sustainable agriculture, because food is delicious and necessary for life. That being said, she also loves baking cupcakes and cookies and taking trips to the farmers market. It's a dream of hers to own a sustainable food truck, because it combines environmentalism, food, and travel.
